Our Core Mission
The mission of the Board of Applied Sciences and Technology (BAST) is to democratize vocational education and skill validation in Pakistan by establishing a transparent, accessible, and globally recognized assessment framework that empowers individuals, standardizes certifications, and supports industrial growth.
We believe that every individual's skills, whether acquired through structured classroom studies, virtual portals, or decades of hands-on workplace experience, deserve formal academic recognition. BAST is dedicated to providing these pathways, transforming practical knowledge into a powerful tool for career mobility.
Strategic Objectives
To successfully implement our mission, BAST focuses on the following key operational pillars:
1. Skill Democratization
Making professional certification accessible to every corner of Pakistan, including remote areas, through flexible learning and prior experience mapping.
2. Standardized Testing
Ensuring all technical assessments and final examinations follow standard guidelines and occupational parameters mapped to industry trends.
3. Global Attestation Support
Maintaining robust digital database records and verification systems that allow seamless audit and attestation by global agencies and embassies.
4. ATP Quality Assurance
Conducting rigorous monitoring of Affiliated Training Partners (ATPs) to ensure uniform facilities, qualified trainers, and clean examinations.
Our Commitment to Inclusivity
BAST is committed to eliminating barriers to education. We cater to workers in informal sectors—such as mechanics, construction supervisors, IT developers, and health assistants—enabling them to undergo competency mapping and acquire formal academic status. This validation is critical in helping them qualify for standard corporate ranks, pass public service commission requirements, and successfully secure overseas contracts.
