Code of Conduct

Ethical standards and operational guidelines for students, centers, and staff

Overview of Ethical Standards

The Board of Applied Sciences and Technology (BAST) Islamabad stands as a symbol of trust and vocational competence. To maintain the integrity of our certifications and ensure that every issued diploma represents genuine skill, BAST enforces a strict Code of Conduct binding upon all students, affiliated centers (ATPs), evaluation panel members, and administrative staff.

1. Guidelines for Students & Applicants

All applicants (whether regular, distance, or RPL) must maintain absolute honesty throughout their academic journey:

  • Honest Submissions: When applying for RPL evaluation, candidates must submit genuine, verifiable experience logs and resumes. Forging employer reference letters or submitting fake prior training documents is a severe offense.
  • Examination Integrity: Plagiarism or cheating during online assessments, written exams, or practical demonstrations is strictly prohibited.
  • Account Details: Sharing student portal credentials or letting unauthorized individuals represent you during video-based panel reviews is subject to direct registration block.

2. Guidelines for Affiliated Training Partners (ATPs)

Our affiliated vocational training centers act as the front line of BAST quality standards. They must strictly follow these rules:

  • Zero-Tolerance for Fraud: ATPs must not assist, facilitate, or tolerate any fraudulent certificate creation, marks manipulation, or false registration entries.
  • Standardized Infrastructure: Centers must maintain the lab tools, classroom size, and instructor qualifications committed during their affiliation request.
  • Fair Grading: Final marks, grades, and semester scoring sheets must be uploaded truthfully on the portal without bias or inflation.
  • Regular Audits: ATPs must fully cooperate during surprise visits, laboratory quality reviews, and examination audits conducted by the BAST technical committee.

3. Quality Assurance & Disciplinary Action

BAST reserves the right to perform database audits and verify candidate profiles at any stage:

Disciplinary Measures for Non-Compliance

Any breach of this Code of Conduct will result in immediate disciplinary action by the BAST Academic Council:

  • For Students: Cancellation of registration, blocking of the student lookup profile in the database, and revoking of the issued diploma.
  • For Institutions: Immediate suspension of center affiliation, removal of their ATP listing on the board portal, and possible legal proceedings in case of commercial fraud.

Reporting Breaches

If you suspect or witness any breach of this Code of Conduct, including fraudulent certificate offers, center-level examination compromises, or staff bias, please contact the registrar desk immediately via email at registrar@bast.com.pk or submit details securely through our Inquiries Page. All reports are handled with absolute confidentiality.
